Shows a very steady hand. Well done Charles I really like this think you have captured it well. getting the floor and the ceiling gives it great perspective

I like this and flash would have spoilt the light. i think she is enjoying the sense of enclosure and the calm still mood of the museum.

Great shot. I like the point of view and perspective. Indeed it is funy that she does not look to the "landscape".
The noise level looks quite low at 3200 ISO. Just for my info, could you tell me if you did you applied any noise reduction by option into the camera or by post-processing ?

@Stéphane: The high ISO noise reduction Stephane on the camera was set to normal. I didn't do anything in Cature NX. I think the ISO option on normal starts to work at ISO 800+.

i think the lack of flash is the highlight in this. brilliantly captured. brings her mood as well as the art's perfectly out! well done!

This photo reminds me of one day in the Museum of Fine Arts in Havana, Cuba. I was walking around in my favorite room, the amazing Cuban painters of the 30s, 40s and 50s, and I saw a painting that took my breath away: Children, it is called. There was a bench in front of it and I HAD to seat. I have a reproduction but it's not the same at all, the textures, the colors...I was sitting exactly as this person in the photo.

@Liset: Thanks for the comment Liset. I tried to find a picture of the Children painting on the web and couldn't...would love to see it. This picture is of Versailles and it is located in the American wing in the Metropolitan (not sure why). But it seems to draw a crowd. Thanks for your comment.
